Green Park Triathlon 2018

After the success of Green Park Triathlon 2017, we are set to run again in aid of Sport Relief for 2018.

The event will take place on Thursday 8th March and registration will be opening soon!

Go Tri at Green Park this Sunday

Go Tri is being held again this year from Green Park.  It’s the usual 2km run, 8km cycle, 2km run with full marshal support and it’s our first event of the year this Sunday (24th April) starting at 9:00am from 100 Longwater Avenue, go give it a tri!

Congratulations to the 2016 Fundraising champions

Congratulations to our fund raising champion Matt Church from Melbreck Technical Recruitment who raised over £600 and wins the superb prize of an iPad Air donated by EOS, well done Matt and what a great costume on the day!

The winner of the fund raising raffle of another iPad Air donated by EOS was Martin Hardy who raised over £200 and thus got two tickets for the draw, thanks Martin for your consistent support of the Triathlon over the years so a just reward for your fundraising efforts.

And finally the team fund raising champions for 2016 are team Splash, Flash & Dash who raised over £700 and win champagne and John Lewis vouchers donated by Flint and Puffin, many congratulations and a hearty thanks to you all.

GO TRI comes to Green Park!

GO TRI comes to Green Park!

Dear Green Park Triathlon Competitor

We’re writing to you as a previous Green Park Triathlon participant to let you know about a new series of multisport events taking place at Green Park this spring and summer.

GO TRI is a Triathlon England backed initiative which aims to provide everyone with the opportunity to take part in the exciting sport of triathlon in a friendly, relaxed and fun atmosphere.  All abilities are very welcome and beginners are actively encouraged.

GO TRI participants will take on a 2km Run around the Green Park lake, followed by an 8km Cycle around the Park, finishing with another 2km Run.  All of the GO TRI the events will be based at 100 Longwater Avenue, Green Park, Reading.  The first event is on Sunday 26th April and starts at 9am.  Please visit the website at to enter or for more information.

Congratulations to the winners of the fund raising prizes

Congratulations to:

Team ‘the Good, the bad and the downright ugly’ with their tremendous total of £1,465, narrowly beat Team Snap-On Utd and Team Teletubbies. Well done Lucy, Richard and John and special mention to their team manager Peter who also had his legs shaved for Red Nose Day this year, superb effort all round.  The team win the prize of the London Irish hospitality box (for up to 12 people) at the London Irish vs Sale game + Costco champions cake + champagne!

Ricardo Lanciero for the individual fund raising prize winner with £760 raised, just winning the prize by £10 by Richard ‘the horse’ Sargent.  Superb work from the pair of you!  Ricardo wins the iPad Air Prize sponsored by EOS IT Solutions, and Richard wins a bottle of Champagne.

and Stuart Maclauchlan as winner of the random prize draw for fundraisers.  Stuart raised £405 which entitled him to 4 tickets and #73 was the lucky ticket drawn by our random number generator and witnessed by members of the Triathlon organising team.  Stuart wins another iPad Air also sponsored by EOS IT Solutions.


We’re on target to reach over £30,000 in fund raising this year so look out for another blog post when the final numbers have been counted.
